7 Bollywood Actors We're Fed Up Of Seeing In The Same Roles

Seen them once, seen them all. If you haven’t caught their recent releases, rest assured that you aren’t missing on anything you haven’t already seen them do a dozen times before already.

Barring a few exceptions every now and then, here’s a list of seven Bollywood actors who’ve found their niche and remained glued to it for eternity:

Imran Khan

His debut movie JTYJN saw him playing the wimpy guy who complements the feisty heroine Genelia. A couple of years later we tuned in to Mere Brother Ki Dulhan only to find him following meekly in the bubbly Katrina’s footsteps and the story just continued with his last release Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. And we’ve got a sneaking suspicion that we could tune in fifty years from now, only to find him still playing the same meek Jai to some fresher, bubblier Aditi.

Sonakshi Sinha

Spot the odd man out: Sonakshi Sinha as Rajjo in Dabangg, as Sukhmeet in Son of Sardaar and as Paro in Rowdy Rathore. Oh wait, you can’t because she only ever appears onscreen as the angry village belle who is always, well, angry. For reasons unfathomable to the human mind.

Anushka Sharma

While a case can be made for the fact that she has progressively turned up the bubbliness with every successive release, there remains no denying that the only word to sum up her Bollywood journey from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi to Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is the word BUBBLY!

Salman Khan

He started out his career on a winning note with Maine Pyaar Kiya but has since however laid down roots in action land, the only difference in his last eight releases being the number of goons he manages to fight off at one time. Give us more of Hum Aapke Hai Koun’s Prem, pretty please?

Genelia D’Souza

From the 2008 hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na to Life Partner to Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Genelia has dabbled with several roles, all in ascending degree of feisty.

Amrita Arora

While you won’t ever catch reinforcing stereotypes, but between Esha of Golmaal Returns to Kamini of Kambakht Ishq, Amrita seems to be doing a swell job of it herself.

Varun Dhawan

Barely three films old and Varun seems to found a home in the chocolate boy hero section and doesn’t appear particularly interested in leaving it soon; the only growth in his Bollywood career since the release of Student of the Year two years ago being in the size of his biceps.
