7 Bollywood Sequels We Would Love To See!

While some directors have made a living out of drawing up meaningless sequels (Yes Rohit Shetty, we are looking right at you) there are others we wished would take the hint and show them how it’s done.
In no particular order, here’s a list of seven Bollywood sequels are dying to see:
Andaz Apna Apna
While the original Salman – Aamir starrer achieved moderate commercial success, it has been ingrained onto the DVD shelf of any self-respecting Bollywood movie buff. If nothing else, then for the joy of hearing Salman go, “Ouuui maa,” Rajkumar Santoshi, you have to bring these two alive on the big screen again.
Andaaz Apna Apna
Sure, it’s been thirteen long years since Shivaji Rao Gaikwad magically assumed the CM’s chair for a day and sure, Anil Kapoor has since found bigger fish to fry in the form of his own TV series 24, but the politically charged atmosphere of the country has got us simply begging for the original aam aadmi to step up and show everyone how it’s done.
After several years of sitting through one Golmaal sequel after the other, the Gods have finally taken mercy on us and gifted us another installment of the 1987 epic Mr. India, as confirmed by Anil Kapoor at a press conference – “How can there be a Mr. India sequel without me? Of course, I will be in it and will start work on it very soon.” Albeit minus the indomitable Amrish Puri. Mogambo nakhush hua!
The stage was set. The script was locked in. An jaw-hurtingly hilarious trailer was out that had us counting down the days to the return of our favorite gundas - All of which suddenly went for a toss given Sanjay Dutt’s run – in with the law.
Given the neat 100 crores that his last outing under the Don banner minted; we, along with gyarah mulkon ki police, can probably be excused for keeping our fingers crossed for a third installment – If nothing else, then just to ensure that an actor of SRK’s caliber is kept well away from the Chennai Expresses of the world.
Shah Rukh Khan
After a lot of hype about whether Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone would step into Priyanka’s six inch stilettos in the sequel, apparently certain script issues arose and the movie has since been pushed back from its original release date of June 2014. Which is a shame, because we were really looking forward to watching John and Abhishek get reacquainted.
Imran, Vir and Kunal together again, stirring more trouble, and not to mention, more controversies. Because once was just not enough. And because Imran Khan’s career could really, really use it.
