Bollywood has had its share of hits, misses, superhits and films you can’t believe made 500 crores but every once in a while someone gets it right and make something so supremely intelligent that you can’t help but call it a ‘cult film’.
These films don’t need quivering belt buckles or scantily clad women, these films are legendary. Here are the Top 10 Bollywood Films Of All Time That You Can’t Afford To Miss:
1. Andaaz Apna Apna
If you haven’t watched Andaaz Apna Apna, you haven’t watched a comedy film. The Aamir-Salman starrer is undoubtedly one of Bollywood’s finest films with outstanding performances by the ensemble cast.

2. Dil Chahta Hai
The film made every group of friends want to take a roadtrip to Goa. From the brilliantly written dialogues to the exquisite screenplay, it’s not surprising that Dil Chahta Hai revived Saif Ali Khan’s comatose career.

We don’t speak of Hrithik Roshan starrer, that would be blasphemy. Amitabh Bachchan’s Vijay Deenanath Chauhan was angry, smart and fantastic. Let’s not even talk about what Sanjay Dutt did to the character of Kancha Cheena.
4. Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron
Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron had the best actors of Bollywood all packed in to one film. Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur, Satish Shah, Neena Gupta, Satish Kaushik and Ravi Baswani produced a satire that was so ahead of its time that it is still considered one of the best Bollywood films.

6. Chashme Buddoor
This film starring Farooq Shaikh, Deepti Naval is, for the lack of a better word, awesome. A subtle, witty comedy that beats any other film, in the same genre, hands down!
7. Ek Ruka Hua Faisla
Watch this film for Pankaj Kapur; despite being a remake of 12 Angry Men, Ek Ruka Hua Faisla is outstanding in its own right.
8. Chupke Chupke
Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra have stellar on-screen chemistry and we’re yet to witness a comedian with the wit and timing of Om Prakash. This film is a complete laugh riot.
It feels like the entire film was written in rhyme. It is misogynistic, wildly inappropriate and outlandish but this film gets all its numbers for being supremely hilarious.
10. Gangs of Wasseypur
After the release of Gangs of Wasseypur, everyone wanted to be Faisal Khan, everyone wanted to sport a mustache and everyone wanted 8-bit music. If you’ve been living under a stone and have missed this film, we suggest you do, right away!
