1. Fighting Brings Two People Closer
A lover’s spat is just that, a lover’s spat and while there are those who will tell you that make up sex is fantastic, if you’re constantly fighting with your partner, it may be time to call it a day.
2. Envy Is A Sign Of Love
Getting jealous might seem like an ‘adorable’ response in the beginning of a relationship but it gets old really fast! If you can’t trust the person you’re with to do the right thing, there’s really no point being with them.
3. If You’re Truly In Love, Passion Will Never Fade
Bollywood movies and rom-coms in general have spoilt us and have enabled our unrealistic expectations. The fact of the matter is that relationships are tricky and you have to keep working at it to keep the spark alive.
4. A Good Relationship Needs No Work
All relationships require work to flourish. Fairy tales romances are meant for the silver screen and sappy novels. A good relationship is where people put in the effort to make it work.
5. If We Don’t Talk About It, It Won’t Come Up Again
The key to every successful relationship is communication. Just because you brush your issues aside doesn’t mean they’ll go away. Pent up anger and resentment can break up the most passionate relationships.
6. You Must Spend Every Waking Moment Together
As individuals, you need to have your own social circle, interests and space; you absolutely cannot spend all of your time together and not get bored. Plus, it’s always great to come back to each other after night on the town.
7. People In A Relationship Need To Share The Same Interests
Unless you’re clones of each other or dreadfully boring, you don’t need to share the same interests. Different interests will ensure you have a varied perspective on things and will always have a lot to talk about.
