How Mark Zuckerberg Is Similar To All The Guys In This World
Posted on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 By Nikhil Taneja
After watching David 'Fight Club' Fincher's take on Gen F (F for Facebook... don't always assume it's something dirty, okay?) in the Facebook movie, The Social Network, you are left with a comforting thought - that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, of youngest-billionaire-in-the-world fame, did it all because of a girl!

For all you three-four people who haven’t obsessively been watching all The Social Network trailers and been tracking EVERY single news article on the cast Jesse 'Zombieland’ Eisenberg, Andrew 'new Spiderman’ Garfield, Aaron 'God’ Sorkin, David 'cult’ Fincher and even Justin 'hair’ Timberlake, here’s how Facebook was ACTUALLY founded: Zuckerberg got dumped (he wasn’t a billionaire then), got drunk on cheap beer (he wasn’t a billionaire then) and invented a… *drum rolls*… WEBSITE to show her how cool he is, and what a big mistake she made (yup, he definitely wasn’t a billionaire then).
But that website just happened to change the world, killed many-a-life and career of Mafia War addicts and provided fodder (insert Farmville joke here) to the fun-loving citizens of Stalker Town and Pedophile Central. Add to that, Bollywood-type masala elements of whistle-type dialogue by Aaron Sorkin, dosti mein back-stabbing, business mein dhoka, and love mein revenge, and you have the must-watch movie experience of the year. Unfortunately, there are no item girls, although there’s Justin Timberlake…
It’s an uplifting movie in that sense. When you know that the guy who can buy a country now, also couldn’t get girls without having to pay them, it makes you feel awesome (read: less lame). You also feel awesome when you can say intelligent things like this to your friends (and your blog readers): The big irony of Zuckerberg’s life and the story of Facebook’s origin is the fact that the guy who made social networking a phenomenon was socially-challenged!
Needless to say, the movie’s a must-watch if you are a guy. And if you are a girl, you can watch and feel flattered – from Taj Mahal to Facebook, everything happens because of you! Although, in the former case, you may just need to die, and in the latter, you may just need to disappear….
