You might have missed this one, but then Bhardwaj has always been silent about his ventures because he knows they’ll gather all the attention once in theatres. His next film that does not seem half as embellished as some of the films out there, still guarantees a plot that will engage and enthrall.

How do we know that; well, the trailer is out and it’s really exciting. The film is called Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, starring Anushka Sharma, Imran Khan and Pankaj Kapur. Just when one thought that Imran Khan was sidelined by the industry amidst the overpowering ventures of Salman, Shahrukh and the others, we see him in absolutely new avatar in the trailer. Ten times more rugged and roughed-up, he resembles Saif in Omkara. The same can be said for Anushka, with character name like Bijlee, you can be assured of a real shocking experience.

As for the case of Pankaj Kapur, all we can say is that his character flourishes throughout the trailer; so, if Bhardwaj has planned on placing Kapur at the forefront, he’s made the right decision. Yet, the coolest frame in the fleeting montage is Anushka’s tattooed waist that reads: “Dekho Magar Pyaar Se”. Now, that goes out to all the men out there, especially the one Miss. Sharma slapped for acting cheesy during a promotional event.

Just by the way, watch out for the gulabi bhains at the end of the trailer! We think it’s genius.
