Now you must be wondering which Bollywood star was involved, since the location was Bandra, but we must consider the incident with a human touch, an emotion that the news media has made us forget.

The Land Cruiser was in the name of Arbaz Khan, for a while it was being used by Sohail Khan but the actor was not present in the car during the accident. Hence, every news report has the name of Arbaz or Sohail Khan in the title. Some have even forgotten to mention the whereabouts of Chandra Bala, the woman who met with the accident, at the hands of Sohail’s driver, Dhananjay Pimpale. Nevertheless, why would anyone bother if the news did not have a Bollywood angle, to it?

At the moment, our media has left no stone unturned in keeping the suspense alive; they claim that “a witness” professed that Sohail Khan was in the car, at the time of the accident. So the ‘Mcguffin’ to this mystery plot is “a witness”, urging you to follow the story right until one is sure whether Sohail Khan was in the car or not. 

The second twist to the incident came when it was revealed that Dhananjay was not under the influence of alcohol. If we are to trust the medical reports, on the matter, we are left with only two conclusions. One, has it become a habit among Mumbaikars to drive rashly? Second, was it the victim’s fault that made Pimpale lose control? Unfortunately the news media have left both these questions unanswered.
