Buzz TDIM - Black Sabbath released their second album 'Paranoid' Posted
January 07, 2013 @ 09:31 am On This Day In Music, Black Sabbath released their second album 'Paranoid'
Their first album set into motion a trend that had turned The Beatles into a boy band and the Stones into a pop group. How did they do that; well, they turned the distortion level a notch higher than what the audience had already started getting use to. In this day in music, Black Sabbath released their second album “Paranoid” in the US; speak about albums that haven’t gathered dust even after forty years, and this one would feature on the top of any list. Actually, not any list; the album features in Rolling Stones List of 500 Greatest Albums. The album features some of their best-known signature songs like, 'Iron Man' and 'War Pigs'. Indeed, the album was originally titled War Pigs, but the record company was paranoid about the pro-Vietnam War supporters, taking offence. In the end, the album was released as “Paranoid”, making use of the title of another song in the same album.
