Buzz TDIM - Sir Paul McCartney was enlisted in the Queen's New Years Honours list Posted
December 31, 2012 @ 02:45 am On This Day, in 1996, Sir Paul McCartney was enlisted in the Queen's New Years Honours List.
Back in 1969, some American students began publishing articles claiming that clues to Paul McCartney's death could be found among the lyrics and artwork of the Beatles' recordings. Since, Beatlemania was at its peak back then; the rumour became become an international phenomenon within a few weeks. Only after an interview with McCartney was published in Life magazine in November 1969, was the rumour put to rest. Trust some to do that, but it must have been real fun; especially, when the world began to believe that the rest of the band had to make do with a Paul look-alike. Well, if it was a fact then McCartney would not have been there to receive the accolades that have been bestowed upon him for his musical talent. He wouldn’t have had the joy of being called Sir Paul McCartney, for which in 1996, on this day in music, he was enlisted in the Queens New Year's Honours List.
