January 24, 2013 @ 01:08 am On This Day in 2005, the iTunes Store completed 250 million successful music downloads. 
The online digital media store operated by Apple Inc. was started back in April in the year 2003, with an aim of making content more accessible in a manner that brings that essential balance between art and commerce. The iTunes Music store began its operations after Apple signed the important agreements with the five major record labels: EMI, Universal, Warner, Sony Music Entertainment, and BMG. Besides, songs from more than 2,000 independent labels were compensated for, the first being from The Orchard on June 24, 2003. On this day in music, back in 2005, the store successfully sold 250 million songs.
