This Day In Music - Graceland opened its doors to The Elvis Presley Autoland Museum and Lee Ryan got arrested.

On 12th June, 1989, Graceland had its own Elvis Presley museum. A section of Memphis in Graceland was devoted to twenty cars which were owned by Elvis.

The museum contained over thirty vehicles which were owned by Elvis himself. Elvis’ popular Pink Cadillac, Harley Davidson motorcycles, Stutz Blackhawks, a 1975 Dino Ferrari, a 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible and the popular red MG that Elvis drove in the movie Blue Hawaii.

The museum also contains some of Elvis’ famous Vegas jumpsuits, his awards, gold records and the Lisa Marie jetliner. All the cars and motorcycles were made available for the public viewing on this day.

Lee Ryan from the British boy band Blue was found guilty of criminal damage on 12th June, 2004.

Ryan admitted that he punched the photographer after being bombarded by the paparazzi when he was leaving the London nightclub.

But, he argued that the paparazzi provoked him into doing so. Judge Caroline Tubbs dismissed the case on self defense ground.

Lee was ordered to pay a compensation charge of $850.
