After many change in band names, Linkin Park was finally signed up by Warner Bros. Records in 2000, soon after which their first album Hybrid Theory was released. Unfortunately, the critics lambasted it on arrival, criticizing Delson particularly for his amateurish guitar riffs, but he replied to them with utmost benignity by saying he didn’t want to show off. 

However, for most musicians their music replaces words, and so he did appease the critics after a haul of two years, by remixing the first album and releasing as Reanimation; that’s not all, he was also instrumental in producing the bands second album called Meteora. Meteora, defines the sound of Linkin Park that has stuck on with the band till date.
