Yes I can cook to survive. In fact I'm quite a good cook - not as bad as everyone seems to think!

Sushi is my favorite. I eat everything actually but I prefer home cooked food.

 

Do you work out? What is your exercise routine like?

Yes, I do a lot of cardio and weight training. I'm planning to take up yoga now.

Yes, and that's because I've not found anyone but I would love to be in a relationship.

Are you religious?

Of course. I'm very spiritual. But more than being religious, I believe being a good human is important. Just praying 100 times a day and not being a nice person doesn't make sense.

My sensibility of who I am.

 

Tell us about the most fun you've had while traveling?

Any travel is a discovery. It's extremely rejuvenating and provides a great break from work.

 

Where do you go to holiday?

Sometimes I think the MTV office is where I'll be forever! But I'd love to visit my sister in Germany.

 

Have you ever had an experience that you look back on and think - fate played a hand there?

I once had an accident. I broke my leg and everything went wrong. But it taught me never to take anything for granted - that life is always uncertain.

 

So MTV glory or Bollywood fame?

I'd like a combination of both. That would be the best. If I get a Bollywood offer, I'd definitely want to take it up.

 

And how did VJing for MTV happen?

I auditioned around 8 months ago. Then I did a pilot and that's how it started. I always thought it was a great job. It's very interesting, something that fascinated me. I wanted to give it a shot.

 

Did you always want to be a model?

It all started in Kolkata. I was tall and everything - so it became like an obvious choice. I got my first assignment with designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh when I was 16.

 

What was it like being featured in the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar 2008?

I was featured for two consecutive years and it was a super experience. Such opportunities come once in a lifetime. I got a chance to go to some of the best destinations!

 

What did you want to be as a child?

I didn't have anything particular in mind. I wanted to be successful in whatever field I chose. I'm very ambitious and very career-oriented.
